Whittle's Pub & Grub in Eldon, MO is frequently praised for its hearty American fare and generous portions, particularly the tenderloin and specialty sandwiches. Customers appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere that blends a casual dining area with a connected pub space. The food quality consistently receives compliments for flavor and seasoning, with breakfast options also highlighted. Service is generally described as attentive and courteous, though occasional remarks note room for improvement in friendliness and attentiveness during slower periods. While the decor and cleanliness elicit mixed feedback, these factors rarely detract from the overall positive dining experience centered on good food and a welcoming, unpretentious environment.

This is a family style restaurant. The set up is family area with tables in a large room and then a bar / pub area connected. Very clean. The service was quick and courteous. My husband had a huge tenderloin that will make at least one more meal and I had a Reuben. Both were delicious. It’s not fine dining or fancy but good.

Always great food and service. Margarita was great! Had 2.5 pound burrito with steak and chicken; meats were delicious and seasoning was perfect. Highly recommend!

We stopped here after a tour at Stark Caverns. They’re a split business, with the pub on one side and the grub on the other. The decor and cleanliness leave a little to be desired, but that in no way reflected the quality of service or of our meal. Our kids were thrilled to order Kraft mac & cheese. I had a buffalo chicken wrap with a side of broccoli. The wrap was perfect - right amount of heat, plenty of meat, cheese was melted, tomatoes thoughtfully diced, and the onions were sautéed. The broccoli was seasoned and even had some little carrot ribbons included. What really took the cake was my husband’s pork tenderloin sandwich. It was MASSIVE. Not just a gimmicky big sandwich either, he said it was really good. So good, in fact, that he ate the entire thing.

We are from out of town and stopped in for lunch. We got the Pork Tenderloin and a Reuben, and were impressed by both! The fried pepper jack cheese cubes were so good as an appetizer! Overall impressed by the food. Service was okay.. could be friendlier, especially for a slow hour and how many staff members were standing around. We were not greeted when we came in. Waitress didn’t check in but once, other than to bring our check.

Great shit, people! No matter what you get, rest assured it's going to be good. The tenderloin is exceptional! Try the breakfast menu until 10:30 am Saturday and Sunday mornings. You won't be disappointed. This month is sandwich month. We took a drive from Jefferson City to eat a chili cheese dog that was on the menu this month. MAN... ... That thing is HUGE! One third pound Nathan's all-beef hot dog with chili, onions, cheese and relish on mine. EXCELLENT! Got some deep fried pickles to go with it as well as potato salad (the best!) and fries. 2 of us couldn't eat all of it. The guy next to me got the Texas Philly... Now I'm gonna have to come back and try that before the month ends. He said he would definitely order it again, and it also was huge. If you go home hungry here that's on you. The portions are more than generous and plenty for the average person to get stuffed! Don't sleep on this little gem hidden in Eldon, Missouri! It's a must try restaurant! Went back again and had the Texas Philly. This is on the menu for the month of July, which is Sandwich month. This thing was HUGE (like everything here) and sooooo delicious! If you haven't been, you don't know.

Ate there twice in last 3 weeks. First visit all good. Second visit, ordered beers, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, had to go ask if we were getting drinks??? Finally got drinks, they were not really even busy, just poor service. Food came, pretty good, if they had brought it all, had to ask where salad was??? Brought nasty stale looking salad, left it on table, to nasty to eat. So, hit and miss, will not return, to iffy. Also, please turn air conditioning on, hot in there.

Great local place for GOOD food. Monthly specials seemed to be a hit with locals. We were tempted but we stopped for the pork tenderloin sandwich.
